253 FXUS64 KTSA 040435 AFDTSA Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 1135 PM CDT Tue Apr 3 2018 .AVIATION... CONCERNING TAF SITES KTUL/KRVS/KBVO/KMLC/KXNA/KFYV/KFSM/KROG. VFR conditions are expected through the forecast period as surface high pressure builds into the region during the day Wednesday. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /Issued 934 PM CDT Tue Apr 3 2018/ ..UPDATE... DISCUSSION... Skies had become mostly clear across Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas this evening. This was in response to the cold front...which moved through today...continuing to push off to the east and southeast...and also surface high pressure...currently centered over the Central Plains...filtering into the Southern Plains. Winds also had begun to weaken this evening as high pressure approaches the CWA. Overnight tonight...surface high pressure will continue to shift southward and set up across the region by Wednesday morning. Underneath the surface high...light winds...mostly clear skies and colder/drier air will aid in creating low temperatures well below the seasonal average over the CWA. Low temps in the mid 20s along the Oklahoma Kansas border and also over far Northwest Arkansas to the mid 30s near the Red River continue to look possible. Thus...will let the current freeze warning ride as is for tonight. The evening update will be to only add minor tweaks to hourly temp/dewpoint/wind/sky grids based on current trends and observations. Otherwise current forecast seems to be in good shape at this time. && .TSA WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... OK...Freeze Warning until 10 AM CDT Wednesday for OKZ049-054>076.
