Deeper moisture moving into the region will likely bring a round of precipitation late Saturday into Sunday. && .DISCUSSION... High pressure with well above normal temperatures will continue again today and Friday, with periodic mid-to-upper level cloudiness. Afternoon highs will generally run 8 to 12 degrees above normal. Rather light winds today will turn a bit breezy from the west-southwest for Friday. Increasing Pacific moisture and resultant precipitation chances will develop across the Northland from late Saturday afternoon and continue into early Monday. Mild snow levels are still anticipated with this system, generally at or above 7500 feet through the weekend. Unsettled but mild conditions are forecast for the middle of next week, with some models showing the potential for a colder storm by the end of next week. && .AVIATION...For the 12Z package...VFR conditions will persist through 12Z Friday. WSW breezes around 10 kts with a few gusts over 15 kts between 19Z Thursday and 02Z Friday. Extensive mid/high clouds at least through 03Z Friday.
