570 AWUS85 KGGW 022345 RWSMT Montana Weather Summary National Weather Service Great Falls MT 445 PM MST Sat Dec 02 2017 Generally quiet and mostly dry conditions prevailed across the Treasure State this afternoon with only a few, isolated, high- mountain snow showers reported. Most of the state experienced cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions as moisture increased over the region ahead of an approaching weather system. Afternoon high temperatures were in the 30s and 40s at lower elevations in western and central Montana with 20s in the mountains. Eastern Montana high temperatures ranged from the 40s to mid 50s. Much of the state also reported southwest to westerly winds that were generally breezy and not overly strong. Conditions will deteriorate from west to east as an upper level weather system moves into the region overnight. Widespread accumulating snows can be expected across all of western and central portions of the state after midnight while eastern Montana remains mostly dry. Overnight low temperatures statewide are expected to be in the 20s to lower 30s with teens possible in the mountains. $$ weather.gov/greatfalls
