Cloudy skies persisted throughout the day for most of Iowa. Portions
of northern Iowa saw clearing and some sunshine later in the
afternoon. High temperatures today across the area were in the low to
mid 40s, with a few cooler areas in the upper 30s for eastern Iowa.
Winds today were out of the south at 5 to 10 mph. Northwestern Iowa 
was a little breezier with winds at 15 mph and gusting over 20 mph.

Tonight brings another chance for patchy fog, which will linger into 
Tuesday along with a chance for drizzle throughout the day. Southern 
and western portions of Iowa have a chance for scattered rain showers 
Tuesday night. Temperatures through the end of the week will be in the
40s and 50s across the region. Friday will bring another opportunity 
for some rain and potential thunderstorms to the region, along with 
strong winds. This system will usher in cooler temperatures for the 
weekend.
