For the Tri Cities area...mainly light showers are expected but a few weak thunderstorms are possible as well. Cloudy and cool conditions will continue through Saturday once the rain ends. Winds will increase dramatically during the late afternoon hours on Saturday as a cold front moves through the area. North to northwest winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected through the evening hours. Quiet weather and pleasant temperatures settle into the region on Sunday with a warming trend for much of the region expected next week. $$
