The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for...
  East central Custer County in central Nebraska...

* Until 1030 PM CDT

* At 836 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
  drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Ansley, Mason City, Westerville and Gavin Siding. 

Rainfall of 2 to 3 inches is expected over the area. This rain will 
result in minor flooding.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 90 and 97.
 Highway 2 near mile marker 294, and between mile markers 297 and
307.
 Highway 92 between mile markers 300 and 304.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
