Thunderstorms are now developing especially over the higher
terrain of the Gila Wilderness with overall movement to the
southwest around 5 mph. Showers and thunderstorms should become 
more widespread into the afternoon hours. The atmosphere still remains
quite moist and unstable and as the cloud cover slowly erodes, 
more storms will develop. . General rainfall amounts so far have 
been in the.3 to .5 inch range, however, a rural area southeast 
of Hurley has shown from .8 to 1 inch of rainfall in the last 
hour. There still remains a risk for locally heavy downpours with 
some low area flooding. Storms will also have the capability of 
producing outflow winds of 40 to 50 mph, small hail and cloud to 
ground lightning.
