...Developing showers and thunderstorms will affect portions of Wake 
County through 700 PM EDT...

At 600 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of developing 
showers and thunderstorm near Raleigh, drifting slowly east. 

Wind gusts up to 40 mph, and heavy rain and associated urban 
flooding, will be possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Zebulon, Rdu International, Apex, Holly
Springs, Morrisville, Knightdale and Wendell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in
ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and
minor flooding of creeks, streams, and areas of poor drainage.
Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution to avoid
hydroplaning, especially in urban areas where prolonged heavy rain
can quickly lead to flooding.
