315 FXUS62 KMLB 280102 AFDMLB Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Melbourne FL 902 PM EDT Tue Jun 27 2017 .DISCUSSION... Additional showers and storms continue to develop along lingering weak frontal boundary near to north of Lake and Volusia Counties this evening. Farther south weakened convection has generally left areas of light rain and a few embedded storms, that will slowly diminish and shift offshore past midnight. Have updated the forecast to reflect current/radar satellite trends for this evening, but still expecting rain chances completely ending soon after midnight, with cloud cover decreasing and skies becoming partly cloudy late. Temperatures have already fallen into the 70s over much of the area due to earlier rain cooling, with a few spots already reaching their expected lows in the low to mid 70s. && .AVIATION...Tempo MVFR conds will continue to be possible with light rain that will slowly diminish into late evening south and east of the I-4 corridor. A few heavier showers and storms near northern Lake and Volusia counties should also weaken through midnight. Otherwise, VFR conditions expected overnight into Wednesday morning, with tempo IFR/MVFR conditions in scattered shower and thunderstorm activity tomorrow afternoon. Onshore flow should focus most diurnal convection inland from the east coast near interior terminals Wednesday afternoon. && .MARINE...Weak frontal boundary will dissipate across the waters through late tonight as winds become onshore toward daybreak Wed. Showers and isolated storms will affect mainly the near shore waters, north of Sebastian Inlet into late evening and the offshore waters overnight. Seas around 2 ft expected. && .MLB WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... FL...None. AM...None. && $$ Weitlich/Cristaldi
