...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT WESTERN FREEBORN...
NORTHEASTERN FARIBAULT AND SOUTHERN WASECA COUNTIES...

At 109 PM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Matawan to near Scarville. Movement
was northeast at 50 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Wells, New Richland, Minnesota Lake, Alden, Emmons, Hartland,
Freeborn, Mansfield, Twin Lakes, Conger, Walters and Manchester.

This includes Interstate 90 between mile markers 140 and 154.
 
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
south central Minnesota.
