...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHERN BLUE EARTH COUNTY...

At 1133 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Amboy, or 18
miles northeast of Fairmont, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and dime size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Crystal, Mapleton, Good Thunder, Amboy, Vernon Center and Garden
City.

This includes U.S. Highway 169 between mile markers 26 and 49.
 
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
