...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING
FOR FOR CARTER AND GREENUP COUNTIES IN KENTUCKY...

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 101 Greenup and Fire Weather 
  Zone 102 Carter. 

* Winds...Southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 to 30 mph.

* Timing...This afternoon and evening.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 20 percent.

* Temperatures...In the upper 70s and lower 80s.

* Lightning...None

* Impacts...The threat is enhanced in grassy and brush filled 
  areas. Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor 
  burning is strongly discouraged.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
