.DISCUSSION...Calmer winds are expected across most of the region
today. The exception will be down the Colorado River Valley where
isolated gusts 25-35 MPH will be possible. A much stronger wind
storm is expected to impact the region Thursday, lingering into
Friday for many areas. Widespread gusts of 45 to 65 MPH can be
expected with this system along with isolated shower/thunderstorm
activity to the north and east of Las Vegas. Another storm may move
across the region late Sunday into Monday.
