.DISCUSSION...
A quiet morning across the eastern Tennessee Valley and Southern
Appalachian region with high pressure at the surface in control.
NW flow aloft has pushed an area of dense mid/high clouds into NE
TN and SW VA. These clouds will stick around through midday and
early afternoon, before quickly exiting into NC. Thus, heating
will be slightly more limited further north and east. However,
winds will veer to the SW by the afternoon, and with the partly to
mostly sunny conditions -- a much warmer day is on tap by the
afternoon. Highs in the mid to upper 50s are expected across most
of the Valley, with lower 40s more likely over the far
northeastern zones in SW VA and NE TN.
