Temperatures at 4 am varied tremendously, ranging from the single digits and teens below zero in the lower valleys, to the 30s over some ridges and locations exposed to wind. It was 11 below at Wolf Point, 9 below at Butte, 15 at Billings and a balmy 31 degrees at Cut Bank. Nighttime winds were gusty along the east slopes of the Rockies, with gusts over 20 mph observed at Cut Bank and Livingston. Winds in sheltered valleys and west of the continental divide were generally light and variable. Expect another dry day with below normal temperatures across the state today. $$ weather.gov/billings
