Brief showers were observed over the local waters, some of them reaching portions of the north and eastern sections of Puerto Rico. The showers were relatively fast moving and hundredths to tenths of an inch of rain were observed. Surface winds were mainly light and variable but a few gusts were observed near the showers as they passed by. Overnight minimum temperatures were in the mid to upper 70s across the lower elevations and in the upper 60s to lower 70s across the higher elevations. Light to moderate brief showers are expected over the coastal waters and across portions of eastern and northern Puerto Rico early in the morning, followed by afternoon showers across the interior and western sections of the island. Overall, a more seasonal and fair weather pattern is expected as a high pressure system dominates the local weather pattern. Across the waters, mariners can expect seas between 4 and 7 feet and east winds between 10 to 15 knots. Small craft advisories are in effect for the offshore Atlantic waters through 8 PM tonight.
