Some storms may produce gusty winds, along with heavy downpours. Western portions of the region will have the best chance of storms into the evening. The focus shifts to southeast portions latter during the late evening. The cold front that produced this evening showers and thunderstorms will produce a mostly clear sky by day break. Behind the departing cold front, high pressure will build over New England providing a near perfect holiday weekend. Dry weather is expected through the fourth of July with afternoon temperatures Saturday and Sunday averaging in the mid 70s to low 80s with the return of comfortable humidity levels. On Monday it will be warmer with highs topping out in the 80s across the interior, with 70s across the south coast, including the Cape and islands. Lows each weekend morning will average in the mid 50s to mid 60s. $$
