Winds were light out of the east. Temperatures were in the 30s across the area early this morning. Fog and haze over most of the region will linger for the much of the morning. Meanwhile, a large swath of rain will continue to move across Missouri into the rest of the region today. Most locations throughout the region will see rain today, with the exception being northern Iowa and most of Wisconsin. The low pressure system causing the rain will continue to track east across the Ohio Valley tonight, with lingering rain diminishing early on Saturday. Dry weather will continue through Sunday as high pressure moves across the Great Lakes. High temperatures this afternoon will range from the mid 30s in northern Iowa to the lower 60s in far southern Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky. Low temperatures tonight will range from the low 20s in northern Iowa to the mid 50s in central Kentucky. $$ ALW
