Temperatures across the area at 9 p.m., were in the 60s, ranging from 61 degrees at Paris, to 66 degrees at Peoria and Effingham. High pressure will control the weather pattern across the region for the next couple days, with quiet and seasonable conditions expected. Southerly winds will continue a warming trend and high temperatures will climb into the mid 80s by Wednesday. A series of upper air disturbances will move through the region Thursday and Friday, with chances for showers and thunderstorms toward the end of the work week. Low temperatures overnight, will be in the middle 50s to lower 60s across the Midwest. High temperatures on Tuesday, will generally be in the low to middle 80s across the region, except northern Wisconsin, where the low to middle 70s will prevail. $$ EJL
