MUCH OF THE NEBRASKA COVERAGE AREA RECEIVED RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF ONE-QUARTER OR ONE-HALF INCH...WITH ONE OF THE HIGHEST OVERNIGHT TOTALS OF 1.78 INCHES NEAR GRESHAM IN YORK COUNTY. A FEW STORMS OVERNIGHT BECAME SEVERE...INCLUDING ONE THAT PRODUCED GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS IN GOSPER COUNTY AROUND 1 AM. TURNING TO THE FORECAST FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT...IN SOME WAYS THIS WILL BE A REPEAT OF THE PATTERN FROM YESTERDAY. THIS MEANS THAT MOST...IF NOT ALL OF THE DAYTIME HOURS WILL REMAIN RAIN AND STORM-FREE...EXCEPT FOR MAYBE SOME LATE AFTERNOON STORMS THAT MIGHT DEVELOP NEAR A SURFACE FRONT IN SOUTHEAST PORTIONS OF THE AREA.
