SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED NEAR THIS FRONTAL ZONE ACROSS SOUTHERN IOWA...WHILE THROUGHOUT NORTH CENTRAL IOWA AREAS OF FOG HAVE FORMED OVERNIGHT. MODERATE TEMPERATURES AND PERIODIC SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN THE NORM THIS WEEKEND. BY MONDAY HOWEVER A LARGE HOT AIRMASS WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION FROM THE WEST AND SOUTHWEST AND PERSIST FOR THE ENTIRE WORK WEEK. THIS WILL RESULT IN DRY AND VERY HOT WEATHER NEXT WEEK WITH MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND MODEST SOUTHERLY BREEZES.
