WINDS PICKED UP SHORTLY AFTER SUNRISE AND ARE NOW FROM THE SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST AT 15 MPH GUSTING TO NEAR 25 MPH IN SOME PLACES. A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXTENDING THROUGH THE DAKOTAS INTO WESTERN NEBRASKA. THE DRY NATURE OF THIS SYSTEM SHOULD PRECLUDE RAINFALL TODAY. SKIES WILL BECOME CLOUDY TONIGHT AS AREAS OF DRIZZLE FORM ACROSS THE UPPER MIDWEST. THE DRIZZLE SHOULD CHANGE OVER TO RAIN TOMORROW IN ADVANCE OF AN APPROACHING WARM FRONT. STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS AND MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES TODAY SHOULD DRIVE WARMER AIR INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST AS HIGHS REACH THE UPPER 50S TO MID 60S TODAY...THEN IN THE 60S AND 70S TOMORROW. LOWS WILL BE IN THE 40S AND 50S OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THE REST OF THE WEEK LOOKS TO BE FAIRLY WET WITH RAIN AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. $$
