...Moderate to Heavy Snow into Tonight...

.Snow will persist across northern Iowa this evening and then 
settle slowly southward into central Iowa tonight and early Friday
morning. Snowfall rates will be moderate to heavy at times. In 
addition, northerly winds will increase late tonight into early 
Friday morning with areas blowing and drifting snow expected, 
especially in rural, open areas.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches

* WHERE...Portions of Central Iowa mainly along the Highway 30 
  and Highway 20 corridors.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Be 
  prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. 
  Areas of blowing snow are expected later tonight as north 
  winds increase.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for

  expected. Lighter accumulations toward the MN border, with
  heavier accumulations across the southern portion of the
  advisory area. 

* WHERE...Northern Central Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Be 
  prepared for reduced visibilities at times and areas of 
  blowing snow as winds increase later tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will

  80 and Highway 92 corridors.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, 
  including during the morning commute on Friday. Be prepared 
  for reduced visibilities at times.
