...DAMAGE SURVEY RESULTS FROM APRIL 7 TORNADOES...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO SENT A TEAM TO STERLING 
COUNTY TO SURVEY THE AREAS AFFECTED BY TORNADIC SUPERCELL 
THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE EVENING HOURS ON APRIL 7.  TORNADOES WERE 
REPORTED BY MULTIPLE EYE WITNESSES FROM EXTREME NORTHERN STERLING 
COUNTY ALL THE WAY TO THE SOUTHWESTERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY...
REMAINING TO THE WEST OF HIGHWAY 163 OVER OPEN RANCHLAND. NO DAMAGE 
WAS DISCOVERED DURING THE SURVEY.  THUS...THESE TORNADOES WILL ALL 
RECEIVE AN EF-0 RATING ON THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE.

TORNADO 1:

THE TORNADO BEGAN IN MITCHELL COUNTY...CROSSING INTO NORTHERN 
STERLING COUNTY AT 4:48 PM CDT...BEFORE LIFTING 5 MINUTES LATER AT 
4:53 PM CDT. IT WAS LOCATED 17 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF STERLING 
CITY AND WAS RATED AS EF-0.

TORNADO 2:

THIS TORNADO WAS SPAWNED BY THE SAME STORM RESPONSIBLE FOR TORNADO 
1. THIS WAS A BRIEF RAIN WRAPPED TORNADO THAT BEGAN AT 7:12 PM CDT 
AND ENDED AT 7:15 PM CDT. THIS TORNADO WAS LOCATED 13 MILES 
SOUTHWEST OF STERLING CITY AND WAS RATED AS EF-0.

TORNADO 3:

THIS WAS ANOTHER BRIEF RAIN WRAPPED TORNADO IN SOUTHWEST STERLING 
COUNTY. THIS TORNADO BEGAN AT 7:42 PM CDT AND ENDED AT 7:44 PM CDT. 
IT WAS LOCATED 18 MILES SOUTHWEST OF STERLING CITY AND WAS RATED AS 
EF-0.
