THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS CONFIRMED A
TORNADO NEAR MANAHAWKIN IN OCEAN COUNTY NEW JERSEY ON AUGUST 13,
2013.

A STORM SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED IN MANAHAWKIN OCEAN COUNTY. THE
TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTE 9 AND OAK
AVENUE. NUMEROUS TREES WERE BLOWN DOWN OR SNAPPED ALONG THE PATH
OF THIS TORNADO. THERE WAS ROOF DAMAGE TO SEVERAL CHURCH BUILDINGS
AND A TREE FELL ON A GARAGE. THE TORNADO LIFTED NEAR THE
INTERSECTION OF HILLIARD BLVD AND BEACH AVENUE.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND THE MAYOR AND POLICE CHIEF OF MANAHAWKIN
