533 NOUS41 KPBZ 191651 PNSPBZ PAZ023-200500- PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT National Weather Service PITTSBURGH PA 1251 PM EDT Wed Jun 19 2019 ...NWS STORM SURVEY CONFIRMS AN EF1 TORNADO NEAR COMMODORE IN INDIANA COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA... A storm survey conducted by the National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF1 tornado occurred east of Commodore in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. The tornado touched down around 7:55pm Sunday, June 16. The estimated maximum wind speed range is 105 MPH. This is the 17th tornado in Indiana County since 1950, with the last tornado occurring on May 28 of this year. A final assessment including results of the survey is expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement by late afternoon.
