...EF-0 TORNADO CONFIRMED IN WESTERN BLOUNT COUNTY TENNESSEE...

A STORM SURVEY TEAM FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS COMPLETED 
AN ASSESSMENT OF TORNADO DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED FEBRUARY 29TH IN BLOUNT 
COUNTY TENNESSEE. 

THE TORNADO THAT PRODUCED DAMAGE IN BLOUNT COUNTY...OCCURRED 3 MILES 
NORTHEAST OF GREENBACK ON MAPLE LN. THE TORNADO WAS RATED AS AN EF-0 
WITH MAXIMUM WINDS AT 85 MILES AN HOUR. THE PATH WIDTH WAS 100 YARDS 
AND A PATH LENGTH OF 3/4 OF A MILE. DAMAGE WAS MAINLY LIMITED TO 
TREES...AS WELL AS A LIGHT AWNING THAT WAS DISLODGED FROM THE 
FRONT OF A HOUSE.
