...BRIEF TORNADO IN NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

ON SUNDAY...JUNE 16TH...A TORNADO WAS REPORTED 25 MILES NORTH-
NORTHWEST OF HYANNIS IN CHERRY COUNTY. SHORTLY AFTER 3 PM CDT...A
SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORM FORMED NEAR THE SHERIDAN-CHERRY COUNTY
BORDER AND MOVED SOUTHEAST ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN CHERRY COUNTY. AT
341 PM CDT...A TORNADO WAS REPORTED BY THE PUBLIC AND THE REPORT
WAS RELAYED THROUGH THE CHERRY COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE. THERE HAS
NOT BEEN ANY DAMAGE REPORTED WITH THIS TORNADO AS THE BRIEF
TOUCH DOWN OCCURRED IN AN OPEN AREA. THIS TORNADO HAS BEEN RATED
AN EF0 ON THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE...WITH WINDS FROM 65 TO 85
MPH.
