Temperatures this afternoon were still cool and generally in the 30s, but the abundant sunshine and light southerly winds helped it feel relatively mild compared to our cold stretch. Above freezing temperatures will disappear again though as winds become northwesterly tonight, ushering in a cold air mass to the region. Highs Thursday will only be in the teens and 20s, and will feel much cooler due to blustery conditions at times. The cold weather will hang around into the weekend as an area of high pressure settles into the region. However, this will keep the weather on the quiet side with no precipitation expected through the weekend. Dry conditions should continue into early next week with a steady warming trend back into the 30s possible. Next chance for rain or snow may arrive over the middle of next week, but confidence in any precipitation is low at this time due to it being nearly a week or more away. $$
