Strong storms developed on Tuesday along and ahead of a cold front bringing heavy rain and damaging winds (blue dots).  Winds gusted to 70 mph producing <a href="http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/reports/070918_rpts.html">damage</a> to trees and buildings.  A quiet day is in store today with the only distrubances being from those celebrating <a href="http://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/info/contacts.php">birthdays</a> or <a href="http://www.talklikeapirate.com/">talking like pirates</a>.
