Locations in Eastern Iowa have seen a rather dry start to May with rainfall totals well below an inch.  This is following a rather wet April and May, so the impacts are not significant yet.  The featured image is of unofficial monthly rainfall totals for Dubuque showing that for the year accumulations are near normal.  The next chance of significant rain only appears possible next week with chances of scattered showers today.
