The featured image is a prediction of rainfall for this week from the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center.  With many rivers already at bankful it won't take much to produce flooding concerns.  All of this moisture will be thanks to an open for business Gulf of Mexico, which is the major source of moisture fueling thunderstorms in the midwest.
