The featured map is of forecasted rainfall on Thursday night to Friday night from the <a href="http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ncrfc/content/weather/precipitation/rfc_qpf_gridded_latest.php">North Central River Forecast Center</a>. Storms are already ongoing this Thursday morning north of the state, these storms are expected to intensify and march southeast over Iowa today and Friday. They will be efficient rain producers with the atmosphere loaded with moisture and instability.
