While very heavy rains feel in Eastern Iowa, most of Western Iowa was well below normal for rainfall during June.  The featured chart shows the meager amounts of rain that were recorded in Ames.  The forecast for this week calls for increased chances of rain and more summerlike weather with muggy highs in the 90s.
