The featured image is of snowfall probabilities of over 4 inches on Thursday as issued by the <a href="http://www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/wwd/winter_wx.shtml">Hydrometeorological Prediction Center</a>.  As you can see, most of Iowa is outlined in a moderate chance.  I think that most of us would take the snowfall without the freezing rain and sleet this time, which is the going forecast as temperature profiles will be cold enough to keep it all snow.
