The featured graph is of observed and climatological daily low temperatures this year.  The color shading indicates the departure from average with red being warmer than normal days.  You can see that August has been well above average along with much of the rest of the year except February and early April.  The trend in Iowa for the last 20 years is for warmer low temperatures and 2007 appears to be keeping with that trend.
