March was a very active weather month with the blizzard starting things off and then a severe weather outbreak to end the month.  Daily temperatures were mostly above normal with the last two weeks of the month well above normal.  The featured image is a calendar of daily high temperature departures from normal for Ames.  The forecast for the early part of April calls for below normal temperatures with low temperatures dipping back into the low 20s.
