As of this writing, the temperature is 33 degrees so perhaps it will join the rest of the state this morning. Regardless, this is one of the latest dates on record for the site for the first freezing temperature of the season to occur.

Update: Des Moines Airport reached 31 this morning. This is the latest sub-32 temperature on record, beating 11 Nov way back in 1882!
