Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet 
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, 
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,

  Georgetown and any facilities and equipment in the flood plain are 
  damaged.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:15 PM CDT Saturday was 33.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...South Fork San Gabriel River at Georgetown.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Major lowland flooding closes many streets 
  and roads. Much of the city park downstream floods. Lowest homes 
  above Georgetown to Granger Lake are threatened.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 26.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:45 PM CDT Saturday was 33.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late tonight and continue falling to 2.5 feet early Thursday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    27.1 feet on 11/15/2001.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following 
  county, Guadalupe.

* WHEN...Until 330 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 155 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    New Braunfels, San Marcos, Schertz, Seguin, Cibolo, Selma,
    McQueeney, Martindale, Marion, Santa Clara, New Berlin,
    Staples, Geronimo, Zorn, Zuehl, Nolte, New Braunfels National
    Airport, Zipp and Redwood.

  Northeastern Blanco County in south central Texas...
  South Central Burnet County in south central Texas...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 142 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Spicewood, Cypress Mill and Pedernales Falls State Park.
